Grant Aerona 290
Grant’s inverter-driven air-to-water heat-pump range combines natural R290 refrigerant, high seasonal efficiency, multiple outputs and Quiet Mark accredited acoustic design.
Final model, capacity, cylinder and system design are subject to a property survey and room-by-room heat-loss calculation.
Why consider the Grant Aerona 290?
4 to 15.5kW range
Single-phase outputs include 4, 6.5, 9, 12 and 15.5kW, with the final model selected from the property heat-loss design.
A+++ at 35°C
Every Aerona 290 model is rated A+++ at 35°C water flow and A++ at 55°C.
Natural R290 refrigerant
The range uses natural R290 refrigerant with dedicated safety features and installer protection-zone requirements.
High seasonal performance
Grant publishes SCOP figures up to 5.08 at 35°C water flow, depending on model.
Quiet Mark accredited
Sound-reducing casing and compressor features help the range achieve Quiet Mark accreditation.
Aerona Smart Controller
Compatible smart controls support weather and load compensation, remote management and installer diagnostics.
Specifications vary by model, output and system configuration. JMG Renewables will identify the exact model in your written quotation. View manufacturer information.
Is this system suitable for your home?
Homes requiring a modern monobloc heat pump across a broad output range, subject to heat-loss design and R290 installation requirements.
Suitability depends on calculated heat loss, required flow temperature, radiator or underfloor-heating performance, electrical supply, hot-water demand, pipe routes and outdoor-unit positioning.
Your survey should confirm
- Required heating output
- Design flow temperature
- Radiator or emitter upgrades
- Hot-water cylinder capacity
- Outdoor-unit location and acoustics
- Electrical and pipework requirements

Grant Aerona 290 FAQs
What capacity do I need?
The correct capacity must be calculated from a room-by-room heat-loss assessment. Floor area alone is not enough.
What cylinder size will be included?
The cylinder is selected for household hot-water demand, available space and the system design rather than supplied as one fixed size.
Will my radiators need replacing?
Existing emitters are checked against the required system temperatures. Only the upgrades required by the design should be included.
Is the installation free with the grant?
No. The grant contributes towards an eligible installation; the remaining cost depends on the property-specific quotation.
